Do you know what is meant by Gratification?
Gratification are all gifts received by civil servants or state administrators (Pn/PN). Therefore, gratification has a neutral meaning, so that not all gratuities are prohibited or wrong.
Gratification is "a gift in a broad sense which includes giving money, goods, rebates (discounts), commissions, interest-free loans, travel tickets, lodging facilities, tourist trips, free medical treatment and other facilities. These gratifications are received both domestically and abroad and are carried out using electronic means or without electronic means."
This explanation comes from Article 12B of Law no. 20/2001 concerning Amendments to Law No.31/1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes (UU Tipikor).
What gratifications are prohibited?
1. Gratification received is related to position
2. Such acceptance is prohibited by applicable regulations, is contrary to the code of ethics, has a conflict of interest or is an inappropriate/unreasonable acceptance.
