Abstract

- In May 2019, inflation in the city of Banjarmasin was 0.90 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (May 2019 against December 2018) was 2.91 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 4.89 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest inflation share in Banjarmasin City include grilled fish, rice, oily pastries, fish pepes, sea transportation.
- In Tanjung City, in May 2019 there was inflation of 0.98 percent. The inflation rate for the calendar year 2019 (May 2019 against December 2018) inflation was 1.61 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 2.16 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in Tanjung City include: chicken meat, granulated sugar, water spinach, rice, vegetable tomatoes.
- Of 82 cities that calculate the consumer price index, there were 81 cities experiencing inflation, 1 city experienced deflation. The highest inflation in Tual was 2.91 percent, and the lowest was in the city of Kediri by 0.05 percent. One city experienced deflation, namely the city of Merauke by 0.49 percent.
